Holidays in Kea (Gia) should start from Ioulida. The first impression upon arrival at the port, Korissia, is that the landscape is barren as in all the Cycladic islands. But Ioulida (8 km from the port) is unlike any other Cycladic country. Its houses are colorful, usually two-story and many of them have tiled roofs, while the cobbled streets give a pleasant and relaxed village feel.
The drop-shaped Kea stands tall in front of the great Kavo-Doro sea current and is considered the natural bridge of communication between Central Greece and the Cyclades
